We have no rent control in Hawaii. Landlords can charge as much as they want. Some folks have a hard time with high rents. We might have to go back to this kind of lifestyle; a grass shack like the Hawaiians used to live. It might have been better than today, no electricity and no rent, only the stars and moon for light after the sun goes down. No noise of traffic, just the sound of waves crashing on the shore.
